Procurement Manager

About the role

We are supporting a marine company in Spain to recruit a Procurement Manager who will oversee procurement and supply‑chain activities for ongoing marine operations and projects. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective sourcing of materials, equipment, subcontracted services, and technical supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, purchasing, order tracking and supplier management.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and vendors across marine and technical sectors.
• Procure marine equipment, spare parts, steel, piping, coatings, consumables and technical services.
• Coordinate logistics, shipping, customs and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate closely with operational, technical, commercial and finance teams.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing and overall procurement expenditure.
• Support cost‑control initiatives and drive operational efficiency improvements.
• Maintain procurement documentation, supplier records and ensure purchasing compliance.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, marine, offshore or heavy‑engineering sectors.
• Strong understanding of technical and operational procurement processes.
• Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and international logistics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and commercial skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and negotiations.
• Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field (advantageous).
• EU passport required.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Strong IT and procurement systems knowledge.
