Accountant (Hybrid, Barcelona)

About the role

Keyfactor is seeking a mid‑level Accountant to join its finance team in Barcelona. Working in a hybrid model (minimum two days onsite), you will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance for a leading trust‑infrastructure provider.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Execute month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Receivable – issue invoices and monitor collections.
• Manage Accounts Payable – process and post supplier invoices.
• Record and reconcile bank transactions and cash movements.
• Analyze financial data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate tax accounting information with the tax department.
• Monitor account balances, resolve discrepancies and perform detailed reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budget variances and support internal and external audits.
• Implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Prior experience in an accounting role with exposure to budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, technical and project‑management abilities.
• Proven capability to prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts and support audits.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead small projects and train peers.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards and tax regulations.
