Backend Developer (TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript and modern server‑side development to join an international project team. You will help build enterprise‑grade backend systems that include AI‑enabled functionalities, external integrations, and cloud‑native solutions for the insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js and NestJS.
• Integrate Azure and other cloud services into backend solutions.
• Implement AI‑enabled backend features and external system integrations.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, testing frameworks, and production deployments.
• Work with distributed, service‑oriented architectures and ensure robust authentication (OAuth/JWT).

Required profile

• Strong backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with NestJS or similar frameworks.
• Proven ability to build scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud‑native applications.
• Experience with Azure/cloud integration and RESTful services.
• Knowledge of authentication standards such as OAuth and JWT.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB is a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, testing, and production deployments.
• Good communication skills in an international, remote team.
