Cyber Security Governance Manager

About the role

This position is part of a growing cybersecurity function for a global manufacturing leader based in Madrid. The role focuses on strategic governance and compliance, shaping the organisation's cybersecurity policy framework and ensuring alignment with evolving regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards and controls.
• Drive compliance and regulatory readiness across the organisation.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity legislation and regulatory changes.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Advise stakeholders on cyber risk, governance and compliance matters.
• Deliver compliance awareness initiatives and best‑practice guidance.
• Support enterprise‑wide cybersecurity and transformation programmes.
• Report compliance risks, findings and metrics to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance, IT Audit or Security Compliance.
• Strong understanding of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS and NIS2.
• Experience with IT General Controls (ITGC) and SOX processes is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA or CPA are beneficial.

• Salary range €75,000‑€85,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
