Financial Controller

About the role

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is looking for a Financial Controller to join its dynamic Controlling team. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial and budget analysis, supporting regulatory reporting, and contributing to the development of internal control policies.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate the annual budget and analyse execution against forecasts, highlighting deviations.
• Coordinate with cost‑centre managers to prepare the budget and perform scenario analyses.
• Develop improvement proposals to enhance the reliability of budgetary and financial data, working closely with internal ERP consultants.
• Carry out management‑control activities and implement automated tools for financial and budgetary control.
• Conduct internal audits and produce periodic financial reports and management‑indicator dashboards for the various units.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost control and financial execution of the centre.
• Provide support for the development of new reporting tools and processes.
