Frontend Software Engineer – High‑Traffic E‑commerce Platform

About the role

BESTSECRET is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer who is passionate about building high‑quality, data‑driven user interfaces for a leading European luxury fashion e‑commerce platform. You will help shape the next generation of our web shop and influence core customer journeys across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑traffic frontend systems that deliver fast, accessible and visually engaging experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers and analysts to turn insights into production‑ready features.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, maintainability and future growth.
• Implement user‑facing features for product discovery, search, recommendations, checkout, payments, accounts, loyalty and self‑service.
• Integrate with backend and external systems such as ERP, logistics, BI, CRM and product data.
• Promote engineering excellence through pair programming, mentoring and modernising tooling.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js preferred; React or Angular also acceptable).
• Strong knowledge of performance optimisation, responsive UI, accessibility and component‑driven architecture.
• Experience in complex environments, preferably e‑commerce, and familiarity with REST, GraphQL and micro‑services.
• Comfortable with collaborative workflows, pair programming and CI/CD pipelines.
