Information Security Architect

About the role

Mercedes-Benz is seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to join its Cross-Tech Cybersecurity & AI team. You will shape application security requirements, lead threat‑modeling activities, and ensure compliance across European projects with global impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define application security requirements and support project teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct continuous security reviews of system design and functionality, offering recommendations at each phase.
• Assist teams in defining and periodically reviewing the security profile of each system or application.
• Propose mitigating measures when existing protection is insufficient.
• Ensure security risks are addressed and that architectural decisions comply with corporate guidelines and policies.
• Maintain compliance with information‑security regulatory requirements.
• Implement security policies and procedures across all units and processes.
• Maintain constant vigilance over critical information assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in security, large IT projects, application security assessments, and audits.
• Highly organized, disciplined, and customer‑oriented.
• Strong team collaboration and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Conflict‑resolution and mediation abilities.
• Proven architecture modeling skills and understanding of infrastructure architecture standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
