IT Services Category Buyer

About the role

Amadeus is looking for an IT Services Category Buyer in Madrid. You will support the development and implementation of global category strategies across several IT services contracting models, including delivery-based services, capacity-based services, outsourcing and fixed-price projects. You will drive strategic sourcing, optimise costs and raise procurement value across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, from need identification and negotiation to contract signature and savings reporting, including RFx, supplier evaluation and fact-based negotiations
• Implement contracts with Regional Buyers and internal stakeholders, coordinate with Legal and Finance, ensure compliance and track the purchasing process
• Build relationships with internal IT stakeholders, engage early with internal customers and help define needs and alternative supply options
• Support the Cluster Lead in defining the sourcing roadmap, run market analysis and benchmarking, and manage the sourcing lifecycle
• Classify and segment suppliers, govern vendor performance and SLAs, and lead re-negotiations when needed

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in strategic technology procurement in an international environment, or an engineering/sales background with relevant procurement experience
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracting models, negotiation and contract lifecycle management
• Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge requirements and propose strategic alternatives
• Proactive, business-minded and able to anticipate needs
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus

Required skills

• Experience with procurement tools such as Coupa and contract management platforms
• Project management and analytical skills, handling multiple initiatives at once
