Junior Ground Segment Software Engineer

About the role

Sateliot is looking for a Junior Ground Segment Software Engineer to join its Mission Control System team. You will help design, develop and integrate backend services that enable automated, efficient satellite operations for a global IoT network.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the Mission Control System, including telemetry, telecommand and ground‑segment integration microservices.
• Build cloud‑native applications and robust APIs for internal systems and external partners such as ground‑station providers.
• Create automation tools that improve operational safety and network performance.
• Collaborate with satellite operators and UI developers to deliver intuitive web interfaces.
• Participate in event‑driven architecture design using technologies like Kafka or NATS.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Passion for the space domain and willingness to learn continuously.
• Team‑player mindset with proactive attitude.
