Lecturer – Physical Activity & Sports Science (R2)

About the role

The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) seeks a Lecturer (R2) in Physical Activity and Sports Science to join its Physiotherapy Department. The position focuses on teaching, curriculum development, and clinical research, especially the use of exercise for rehabilitation of chronic respiratory diseases.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars and practical sessions in physical activity and sports science.
• Develop and update curricula aligned with current health‑science standards.
• Conduct and supervise clinical research projects on cardiorespiratory chronic diseases.
• Participate in competitive grant applications and publish research findings.
• Mentor and supervise bachelor, master and doctoral students.

Required profile

• PhD with the highest distinction in a relevant field.
• Proven experience using exercise as a rehabilitation tool for chronic respiratory conditions.
• Strong publication record in cardiorespiratory chronic disease research.
• Track record of participation in competitive research grants and receipt of academic awards.
