M&A Associate – Technology

About the role

The M&A Associate will join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking’s Technology Investment Banking team in Madrid. Working within the European Technology franchise, the associate will support senior bankers on high‑profile M&A, equity capital markets and other corporate finance transactions for leading technology companies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop differentiated insights on technology sector dynamics, valuation trends and strategic activity.
• Prepare and quality‑check senior‑level client materials such as pitch books and transaction memoranda.
• Support all phases of transaction execution, including financial analysis, modelling, due‑diligence coordination and client interaction.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and market coverage across software, fintech, digital infrastructure, data & analytics, cybersecurity and AI‑enabled businesses.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Europe to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
