Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Join Lear's Valladolid plant as a Mechanical Engineer focused on designing and delivering machinery for automotive clients. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn client specifications into fully documented, manufacturable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create preliminary machine designs using CAD software based on client specifications and gather commercial references.
• Coordinate with Electrical Designers and Automata Programmers to integrate their components into the overall project.
• Participate in client meetings to validate preliminary designs.
• Develop detailed machining plans and manage subcontractor procurement.
• Load breakdown plans and orders into the management system for the Purchasing department.
• Address technical queries from external workshops and internal mechanical assemblers.
• Update design documentation based on feedback from mechanical and electrical assemblers.
• Prepare final client deliverables, including drawings, parts lists, spare‑part recommendations, and preventive‑maintenance plans.

Required profile

• Higher degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial or automotive applications.
• Ability to work with newly entered personnel and collaborate across disciplines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mechanical design software (CAD).
