Payroll Manager - Team Lead (Spanish Payroll)

About the role

As a Payroll Manager you will play a key role within SD Worx’s Spanish Payroll Services organization, leading a team of consultants and acting as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8‑10 Payroll Consultants, supporting them in complex payroll and labour‑law matters.
• Monitor workloads, priorities and service quality while driving engagement, development and performance.
• Act as the main escalation point for approximately 15 key clients, ensuring SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee payroll delivery for Spanish clients, manage service launches and provide guidance on Spanish labour legislation.
• Track billing activities, oversee purchase orders for additional services and contribute to process optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Around 15 years of experience in payroll administration and Spanish labour legislation.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role with proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and prioritisation skills, with experience in conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication in Spanish and English, resilient and assertive under pressure.
