Penetration Tester Intern

About the role

Roche is looking for a motivated Penetration Tester Intern to join its security team. You will support product teams by executing penetration testing activities, identifying vulnerabilities, and helping to improve the security of Roche’s biotech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to define testing requirements and scope.
• Assist in planning, scoping and executing penetration tests for both physical and cloud products.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments across technology layers and prioritize findings.
• Maintain a repository of testing methods and tools to ensure consistency.
• Create detailed reports, present risks and remediation recommendations to stakeholders.
• Participate in red‑team exercises and support the Incident Response team.
• Contribute to integrating defensive capabilities into products.
• Develop and optimise testing processes, playbooks and automation tools.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s) in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Experience with scripting languages such as shell scripting and Python for security automation.
• Understanding of information security and privacy risks.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills; proactive and self‑driven.
