Remote Support Engineer - Digital Computational Pathology

About the role

Philips is looking for a Remote Support Engineer for its Digital Computational Pathology solutions. You will implement, upgrade and support Philips Digital Pathology IT solutions for customers in Spain and across Europe, working remotely as part of a wider European team. The role is a field role, meaning you will travel up to 10% of your time to support customers in Spain and other European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Digital Pathology IT solutions for new customer projects, combining ultra-high-resolution scanners, integrated software for viewing and diagnosis, third-party AI analysis and turnkey IT infrastructure for storing and streaming up to petabytes of data.
• Upgrade existing customers to newer software versions and take part in incident and problem management and troubleshooting.
• Support existing and new customers in Spain, Southern Europe and the rest of Europe, including some customer visits and travel between the centres of a key customer.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, Vocational Education or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Medical, Science-related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of IT experience with Vocational Education, or no prior experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Fluent Spanish and good written and spoken English; Italian or French is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; the role is not open to relocation.
• Experience in healthcare, digital pathology or laboratory workflows is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Group Policies, VMware and networking.
• Good skills working with delicate hardware components.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-analysis skills.
