Senior Software Engineer – Java Backend (London)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior / Lead Java Backend Engineer to join a high‑growth fintech accelerator inside a major financial services organisation. The role is office‑based in London and includes visa sponsorship for the right candidate. You will work on greenfield consumer products, taking ownership from day one and helping shape the technical direction of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop brand‑new fintech consumer products using microservices and cloud‑native architectures.
• Own end‑to‑end product features and contribute to the product roadmap.
• Influence technical decisions and help build a strong engineering culture as the team scales.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Required profile

• Strong backend development experience, preferably with Java and Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud‑native platforms.
• Passion for building scalable, high‑performance services in a fast‑moving product environment.
