Social Media Manager

About the role

Groupon is looking for a Social Media Manager to own and execute the international organic social strategy across the UK, Spain, France and Germany. Reporting to the Brand Marketing Director in Madrid, you will work closely with the North‑America Social Media Manager and the Creative Director to build an AI‑native production pipeline that drives views and engagement without expanding headcount.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the organic social strategy for four markets, including channel mix, content pillars, posting cadence and platform‑specific tactics.
• Create flagship content using generative AI tools such as Kling, Higgsfield, Veo, Sora, Runway, Midjourney, Flux and ElevenLabs.
• Build and operate an AI‑native production pipeline to scale content volume efficiently.
• Prototype new content formats and turn successful experiments into repeatable processes.
• Collaborate with the NA Social Media Manager and Creative Director on shared tooling, creative standards and campaign integration.
• Run monthly performance readouts translating views, engagement rate and audience signals into actionable recommendations.
• Audit existing organic efforts, map the AI tooling stack and deliver strategic recommendations within the first 30‑60 days.
