Software Engineer II – Threat Intelligence

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its Threat Intelligence team. In this role you will design, develop, and maintain large‑scale systems that help protect users and infrastructure from emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code for threat intelligence platforms.
• Review peer code to ensure style, accuracy, testability and efficiency.
• Maintain and update documentation and educational content.
• Triage, debug and resolve product or system issues impacting hardware, network or service operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• At least one year of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java or JavaScript.
• At least one year building large‑scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Interest in accessible technology and machine‑learning model development is a plus.
