Virtual Power Plant Implementation Manager

About the role

Statkraft is seeking an experienced Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Implementation Manager to bridge technical DER integration, regulatory compliance, and market‑driven energy trading. You will own the VPP portfolio, work closely with technology teams, and ensure seamless deployment of distributed energy resources across our platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support technology teams in deploying and integrating DERs (wind, solar, BESS, hydrogen, e‑boilers) into centralized platforms.
• Manage API connectivity, cloud infrastructure, control systems, SCADA, and secure communication channels with energy assets.
• Coordinate system integration, testing, and validation to guarantee reliable asset connectivity and correct trading logic, including merit‑order execution.
• Optimize the implementation and operational lifecycle of the VPP to enable portfolio growth, geographic expansion, cost‑efficient setups, and high end‑customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in VPP or DER integration projects.
• Strong understanding of energy market operations and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to manage complex technical projects from day one.
