2º Jefe/a Cocina

About the role

The Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri is looking for a motivated 2º Jefe/a Cocina to support the Head of Kitchen in delivering high‑quality culinary service. You will help drive sales, control costs and ensure an excellent guest experience in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and substitute the Head of Kitchen in managing and controlling defined service processes.
• Achieve the department’s sales plan and generate revenue through promotional actions.
• Organise and coordinate the various kitchen services.
• Control costs by managing resources efficiently.
• Manage staff: train, motivate and develop team skills in collaboration with the Head of Kitchen.
• Maintain and improve service quality to meet guest expectations.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management and/or Hospitality, or a degree in Tourism.
• Training in HACCP (APPCC) principles.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen management role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of office software and kitchen equipment, products and utensils.
• Strong taste and smell memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer‑oriented and team‑focused.
• Ability to resolve unexpected issues, make decisions and analyse tasks meticulously.
• Proven capability to plan, organise and develop a team.
