2º Jefe/a de Recepción – Hotel en Málaga

About the role

The 2nd Reception Manager will support the Reception Department of a Barceló hotel in Málaga, ensuring smooth daily operations and high guest satisfaction. Working closely with the Department Head, you will oversee room reservations, manage VIP guests and handle on‑site guest issues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily planning of short, medium and long‑term room bookings, occupancy reports and “no‑show” lists.
• Verify group rooming lists, allocate rooms and process changes.
• Register and assign rooms personally when required.
• Handle guest complaints directly and communicate them to the relevant departments.
• Suggest improvements to the Department Head and assist with room rate policies.
• Participate in event invoicing and nightly production closures.

Required profile

• Degree in Tourism, Business Administration or equivalent; Higher Technical Certificate in Hospitality.
• Minimum two years experience in a similar reception or front‑desk supervisory role.
• High level of English; additional Italian or French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OPERA CLOUD reservation system.
• Experience using CRM tools.
• Knowledge of BEA software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
