A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

A vacancy for a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. The successful applicant will join the Final Assembly Line team and will be responsible for preparing, performing and certifying maintenance on A330 MRTT aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance works as a B2 certifying staff.
• Prepare aircraft for flight by implementing items recorded in the Test Preparation Sheet issued by FlightOps.
• Carry out production works to ready the aircraft for ground tests and support test execution.
• Perform retrofit electrical works and tests according to service bulletins or job cards.
• Fix aircraft discrepancies, troubleshoot and service the aircraft.

Required profile

• Valid EASA Part‑66 Category B2 aircraft maintenance licence (B1 licence desirable).
• Experience in Airbus A330 (RR TRENT 700 or GE CF6) maintenance environment.
• Fluent English and negotiation‑level Spanish.
• Extensive experience in test execution and troubleshooting.
• Ability to obtain National and NATO security clearance.

Required skills

• EASA Part‑66 B2 certification.
• Electrical retrofit and testing.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals in English.
• Aircraft health and safety procedures.
• Computer literacy for maintenance recording and traceability.
