A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

A vacancy for an A330 MRTT B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. The role joins the Final Assembly Line team on a double‑shift schedule, supporting aircraft preparation, maintenance and test campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance as a B1 certifying staff, working with a small group of non‑licensed technicians.
• Implement items from the Test Preparation Sheet for each flight and carry out production works for ground tests.
• Execute retrofit mechanical works and tests according to service bulletins or job cards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and service aircraft discrepancies.
• Support aircraft delivery abroad, ground and flight test campaigns, and on‑site service bulletin implementation.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 Category B1 aircraft maintenance licence (Airbus A330 – RR Trent 700 & GE CF6) – mandatory.
• EASA Part 66 Category B2 licence for the A330 – highly recommended.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance, at least 2 years on the A330 platform.
• Fluent English and negotiation‑level Spanish.
• Willingness to work abroad regularly and obtain national/NATO security clearance.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance certification (EASA Part 66 B1/B2).
• Airbus A330 (RR Trent 700, GE CF6) type rating.
• Reading and interpreting technical data and maintenance manuals in English.
• Knowledge of aircraft health and safety procedures.
• Computer literacy for work recording and job traceability.
