A/C Arc Detection Internship – Discover II 2026/2027

About the role

Airbus is offering an 11‑month, full‑time internship as part of the Discover II 2026/2027 programme. Based in Getafe, Spain, the role starts in early October 2026 and combines practical work with a master‑level training block focused on electric‑arc detection for hybrid aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Characterise electromagnetic noise on aircraft wiring test benches.
• Assess the impact of noise on electric‑arc detector design.
• Develop and validate detection algorithms using artificial‑intelligence techniques.
• Document results and interface with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial, Aeronautical or Telecommunications.
• Fluent in English (B2) and Spanish (B2).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail, self‑learning attitude and teamwork orientation.
