Accountant – Automotive Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team supporting the automotive business in Spain. The role will ensure accurate daily accounting, month‑end and year‑end closing, and compliance with local standards and group reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Coordinate with local accounting firms, tax advisors, and external auditors for statutory audits and tax compliance.
• Prepare financial data, documentation, and audit schedules for group and listed‑company audits.
• Oversee bank accounts, perform reconciliations, and manage payment processes with risk controls.
• Handle the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, inventory, and disposal.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and group reporting packages.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and finance‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry in Spain (OEM, importer, dealer group, or supplier) is required.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
• Experience in a multinational environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken; Chinese language skills are a plus.
