Accountant – Finance Department (Madrid)

About the role

ANZEN Engineering is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance Department at the headquarters in Madrid. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting activities and will act as a key business partner to the Finance Manager, supporting the company’s growth in the aerospace and defence sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Handle intercompany operations and monitor subsidiaries’ financial statements.
• Prepare and file taxes.
• Optimize accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate internal and external audits as the main point of contact.
• Issue invoices and collaborate with other departments on cross‑functional tasks.
• Act as a business partner to the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Solid experience in financial accounting, preferably in dynamic or international environments.
• Advanced knowledge of the full accounting cycle and proven experience in financial closings and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills, results‑oriented mindset and high attention to detail.
• Autonomy, proactivity and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency is a plus.
