Accountant Trainee – German & French

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant Trainee to support our finance team in Madrid. The role offers exposure to invoicing, collections, and month‑end processes within an international environment, requiring strong language skills in English and German or French.

Key responsibilities

• Execute invoicing activities, both automatic and manual.
• Manage collection processes and dunning activities.
• Perform regular control activities as defined.
• Respond to MPC requests via email or web tickets.
• Reconcile and clear accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) balances.
• Handle errors and support month‑end closing tasks for AR/AP.
• Answer client and supplier inquiries by phone or email and follow up on queries.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration or a related field; candidates with at least two years of accounting experience may be considered without a degree.
• Basic understanding of invoicing, collections, and general AR processes.
• Proficiency in English and a high level of German or French.
• Methodical, able to work independently, and comfortable handling pressure during peak periods.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, adaptable attitude.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SAP accounting system.
