AI Engineer – Agentic Systems & Backend

About the role

Landbot is seeking a senior AI Engineer to design and build production‑grade agentic AI systems that power conversational experiences for customers worldwide. You will work closely with backend, AI, product, and design teams in a highly autonomous, impact‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑define the technical vision for autonomous agents, multi‑agent collaboration, planning, and decision‑making.
• Translate product and business problems into concrete agentic architectures and system designs.
• Design and implement production‑grade backend integrations for LLMs with clear APIs, contracts, and failure handling.
• Build context‑engineering, memory, tool‑use, and function‑calling mechanisms.
• Instrument systems with observability, tracing, logging, debugging, and cost monitoring.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, safety guardrails, and fallback strategies for reliable production behavior.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with strong backend development expertise.
• Hands‑on experience building LLM‑powered systems and integrating them into production services.
• Proven ability to design scalable, reliable architectures for complex AI workflows.
• Comfort with defining technical trade‑offs and establishing best practices across teams.
