AI Internship – Detect & Avoid Regulations for Autonomous Systems

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space for a six‑month curricular practicum focused on implementing AI algorithms to analyse Detect‑and‑Avoid (DAA) regulations and support the development of next‑generation surveillance systems for autonomous platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse emerging DAA and ACAS X regulations using AI techniques.
• Design and prototype AI‑driven components for surveillance and collision‑avoidance products.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate regulatory requirements into functional specifications.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of a degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering.
• English level B2 minimum (C1 desirable) and Spanish level B1 minimum.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in an international, team‑oriented environment.
