Airworthiness Assurance Engineer (Military Derivatives)

About the role

The Airworthiness Assurance Engineer for Military Derivatives will manage design organisation approvals, ensure continuous compliance with airworthiness regulations, and support certification activities for Airbus Defence and Space. The role acts as a liaison with Airworthiness Authorities and coordinates with design suppliers and partners throughout the product life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, extend, manage and maintain all Design Organisation Approvals (DOAs) and related privileges, including manuals and procedural references.
• Monitor the design assurance system to guarantee compliance with applicable airworthiness regulatory requirements.
• Resolve DOA queries related to certification issues and aircraft delivery, ensuring fleet availability.
• Integrate design suppliers and partners into the design assurance system and maintain compliance throughout the product life‑cycle.
• Support the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Represent Airbus in DOA airworthiness rulemaking and standardisation activities, disseminating regulatory knowledge internally.

Required profile

• Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of English.
