Area Security Officer – Cybersecurity Lead (Remote, Spain)

About the role

We are seeking an Area Security Officer to lead cybersecurity initiatives for the France area while operating remotely from Spain. The role works closely with the Group CISO and Regional Security Officer to align local security activities with global strategy and ensure robust protection of information assets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Group CISO and Regional Security Officer to define and implement cybersecurity strategy for the area.
• Maintain governance frameworks aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and other standards.
• Oversee risk assessments, ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations, and coordinate audits.
• Manage business demand by triaging requests from customers and third‑party partners, reporting volumes and trends.
• Drive security awareness programs, monitor emerging threats such as AI‑generated deep fakes, and partner with corporate communications to foster a security‑focused culture.
• Own and enhance Governance, Risk & Compliance platforms (LogicGate, KnowBe4), implementing new modules and features.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs and regular reports on security posture, incidents and initiatives for senior stakeholders.
• Research emerging threats and recommend innovative security solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity strategy, governance and risk management within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, GDPR and related compliance frameworks.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, work independently and coordinate across global and regional teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a focus on translating technical concepts into business value.
