Avionics Project Manager – Spain

About the role

The Avionics Project Manager will lead the Spanish variant of the NH90 helicopter programme, overseeing all avionics‑related activities. This position coordinates engineering, qualification, and integration tasks to ensure the successful delivery of the avionics system for the Spanish market.

Key responsibilities

• Support CE Project Managers in defining and executing avionics projects.
• Maintain project schedules, work packages, risk logs and Earned Value Management in line with scope and cost constraints.
• Contribute to the Development Project Definition for the avionics part, in coordination with system integration leads.
• Define and monitor avionics qualification logic with quality, system architecture and NHI stakeholders.
• Perform quality gates, configuration management and provide H/C level configurations for integration and qualification.
• Coordinate sub‑tasks with equipment, software and other variant APMs, sharing schedules, risks and actions.
• Report regularly to the Head Office Avionic MAS and CE Project Manager System Integration.

Required profile

• Academic background in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, engineering or integrating aircraft systems.
• Proven background in systems engineering, requirements engineering and avionics integration.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Fluent business‑level Spanish and English; additional German or French is a plus.
• Ability to obtain or hold a security clearance.
