Ayudante de Bar

About the role

The Barceló Group is looking for a motivated Bar Assistant to join its team at the hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. You will support the bar and restaurant operations, ensuring guests receive prompt and friendly service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the service and sale of food and beverages, following the bar’s menu and recipes.
• Perform auxiliary tasks such as setting up work areas, preparing tables, boards, chairs and other furniture for banquets, conventions and daily service.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of work zones and utensils.
• Support customer service, including taking orders and helping with billing and payment.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Required profile

• Interest in hospitality; no prior experience required, but a basic knowledge of bar service is a plus.
• Ability to work in a high‑speed environment and handle physical tasks such as moving beer barrels and carrying trays.
• Team spirit and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of different types of beers and mixed drinks.
