Ayudante de Camarero/a – 20h semanales

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Waiter Assistant to join the service team at Hotel Barceló Emperatriz in Madrid. Working 20 hours per week, you will support the restaurant, bar and event areas under the supervision of a waiter or senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the restaurant staff with table setup, cleaning and basic customer service, especially on the terrace and bar.
• Take occasional drink orders and serve beverages.
• Open and close the assigned work area at the start and end of each shift.
• Prepare materials and products for service, verify stock levels and replenish supplies.
• Complete daily service reports and simple event setups such as moving tables, placing coffee machines, and arranging stationery.
• Support logistics by retrieving and restocking items from the store, following a documented extraction list.

Required profile

• Medium‑level hospitality training (Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio en Hostelería) with mandatory HACCP certification.
• At least one year of experience in a similar waiter or hospitality role.
• Intermediate to advanced English language skills.
• Ability to work in a team, handle stress, and maintain agility and balance.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
