About the role

The Barceló Costa Ballena resort is looking for a Reception Assistant to join its front‑desk team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth check‑in and check‑out processes and delivering high‑quality service throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process all documentation required for guest check‑in and check‑out.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming reception area.
• Answer telephone inquiries from guests and handle external calls professionally.
• Perform currency exchange transactions accurately.
• Coordinate daily operations with the kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide guests with information, address their requests, and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• Medium‑level vocational training in Hospitality and Tourism.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar front‑desk or reception role.
• High proficiency in English; a second language is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of office software and reservation programmes (valued).
• Strong adaptability, teamwork orientation, customer focus, communication abilities, and problem‑solving skills.
