Backend / Full Stack Engineer (all genders)

About the role

Join BESTSECRET’s growing tech hub in Málaga as a Backend / Full Stack Engineer. You will help build a modern, Kubernetes-based supply platform that automates purchasing and article onboarding, enabling data-driven, AI-assisted decisions for internal buying teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services for the buying platform using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and cross-functional teams (Tech, Buying, Business Intelligence) to deliver features in fast release cycles.
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure scalability, performance and reliability.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, testing and deployment on Kubernetes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of modern backend development, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) and distributed systems.
• Experience with unit and integration testing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Fluent English and a hands-on, team-oriented mindset.
