Batteries Assembly Line Team Leader

About the role

Airbus Crisa has set up a Battery Assembly Line (BAL) to design, integrate and manufacture high-reliability Lithium-Ion battery modules for space missions. The Team Leader guides operations, promotes Lean manufacturing and leads a shift team of up to 10 operators, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production under aerospace standards while meeting Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift operations, guaranteeing the daily production plan and optimising workload balance to minimise downtime.
• Enforce HSE compliance, including strict safety protocols for high-voltage and electrical risk products.
• Foster a continuous improvement culture based on Lean principles and 5S standards.
• Act as the main operational contact with Quality, Engineering and Logistics to resolve bottlenecks.
• Supervise automated machinery, high-precision assembly, component cleaning and surface coating, and perform inspections according to the Quality Assurance plan.
• Coordinate module testing (component tests, EGSE capacity testing, vibration testing) and ensure end-to-end traceability through the MES with accurate production reporting.

Required profile

• Technical degree or higher vocational education (FP Superior) in Electronics, Mechanics or Industrial Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading production shifts or teams in high-precision or highly regulated manufacturing (aerospace, automotive or electronics).
• Spanish native/professional and fluent English for technical documentation and global collaboration.
• Strong leadership, autonomy, problem-solving under pressure and cross-departmental communication.
