Business Analyst / Life Sciences Consultant

About the role

MIGx is seeking a Business Analyst/Life Sciences Consultant with a focus on pharmaceutical R&D to join its growing global team. You will work with cross‑functional, international groups to drive digital transformation, data excellence, and compliance across the life‑science value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from cross‑functional teams.
• Create technical specifications, user stories and product backlog items.
• Model complex process and data flows supporting R&D or CMC initiatives.
• Support system implementation, integration, data‑quality and validation activities.
• Participate in workshops, gap analyses, user‑acceptance testing and process‑improvement projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights on digital transformation in life sciences.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a business analyst, technical, scientific or SME role within pharma or biotech.
• Strong knowledge of the drug development lifecycle, clinical trials, GxP, FDA/EMA regulations.
• Subject‑matter expertise in pharmaceutical R&D or CMC.

Required skills

• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire.
• Pharma R&D systems: CDMS, CTMS, PV, RIM, LIMS, ELN, eTMF.
• Data‑modeling, requirements engineering and process‑mapping.
• Programming languages: R, SAS, Python.
• Requirements‑management tools: Jama, DOORS.
• SDLC tools: Jira, Azure DevOps.
• Data standards: CDISC, HL7, IDMP.
