Business Analyst – Overhead Controlling Governance

About the role

Join the SAP Solutions team of Mercedes‑Benz Group in Madrid as a Business Analyst focused on Overhead Controlling Governance. You will act as the bridge between Finance business stakeholders and IT, ensuring transparent, consistent and compliant financial reporting across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and validate business requirements for Overhead Controlling, aligning them with SAP system capabilities.
• Assess accounting and controlling processes, verify compliance with internal governance frameworks and propose improvements.
• Analyse financial results, including fixed and proportional cost components, and support reporting governance and capital‑related analyses.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications for SAP and Business Intelligence solutions, and support implementation, testing and rollout.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Finance, IT and global stakeholder teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Maintain consistency between ERP and BI systems, overseeing data and system integration.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes, especially Record‑to‑Report, Purchase‑to‑Pay and Overhead Controlling.
• Experience working in a matrixed, international environment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
