Business Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

As a Business Controller at BOORTMALT, you will be at the core of the finance team, working closely with the Group Controller to shape financial performance and support strategic decisions. You will turn data into actionable insights, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all financial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and support consolidation of statements.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support the annual budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis processes.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide insightful commentary.
• Track and analyse key financial metrics such as revenue, cost structures and margins.
• Assist in CAPEX monitoring, investment analysis and business‑unit financial support.
• Contribute to process improvements, standardisation and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting or auditing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English; Spanish and French are a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Villaverde (hybrid schedule: 4 days office, 1 day remote).

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using Oracle.
• Knowledge of SAP BFC.
• Familiarity with OneStream.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Power BI for data visualisation.
