Business Travel Consultant

About the role

Reed & Mackay, part of the Navan Group, is seeking a Business Travel Consultant to deliver high‑touch, cost‑effective travel solutions for corporate clients. You will act as the primary point of contact for travellers and travel bookers, building strong relationships and ensuring a seamless booking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, high‑quality service to all travellers, consistently exceeding client expectations.
• Manage workload to meet internal and client‑driven deadlines.
• Understand and adapt to client account processes, policies and any changes.
• Collaborate with the client’s Global Travel Manager on policy escalations.
• Offer consultative advice on travel requests, including passport and visa requirements.
• Apply ISO‑27001 data‑security and PCI compliance procedures to all transactions.
• Recommend and procure ancillary services such as car rentals, ferries and high‑speed intercontinental rail.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimise bookings using specialised fare types, contracts and split‑ticketing where appropriate.

• Deep understanding of client travel policies and the flexibility to adapt quickly.
• Proactive, consultative mindset when handling travel requests.
• Knowledge of passport, visa and high‑speed rail requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO‑27001 and PCI compliance standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of various fare types and airline contracts.
• Understanding of ancillary travel products (car rental, ferry, rail).
