Buyer – Build Purchasing Function

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to establish and lead THEKER’s purchasing function. You will be the operational backbone ensuring that electronic components, mechanical parts and custom hardware are sourced efficiently for our robotics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a centralized procurement process, moving purchasing from ad‑hoc engineering requests to a structured function.
• Qualify, select and manage suppliers for electronics, mechanics and sensors, negotiating contracts and cost reductions.
• Run RFQs, issue purchase orders and oversee end‑to‑end order fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate Bill‑of‑Materials data and monitor component lead times to avoid production delays.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electronics and Robotics Integration engineers on sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience as a buyer, category buyer or procurement specialist in automotive, industrial or electronics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated track record of quantified cost‑down initiatives.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate for a 100 % on‑site role.
