Buyer – Category Growth & Negotiations

About the role

The Buyer will drive commercial growth for a product category by spotting market trends, negotiating with global brands and turning weekly trade insights into actionable sales plans. Working with high autonomy, the role sits at the intersection of data analysis and creative product selection.

Key responsibilities

• Attend appointments, product launches and trade shows to influence product selection and range editing.
• Analyse weekly sales data with the merchandising team and propose actions for the upcoming week.
• Negotiate trading terms, budgets and distribution agreements with selected brands.
• Identify new brands and opportunities to diversify the category.
• Lead budget forecasting, OTB management and forward budgeting.
• Present curated ranges to senior buyers, the Buying Director and the Merchandising Director for approval.
• Prepare and deliver performance updates in trade meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• High level of English (C1) and strong commercial acumen.
• Proven experience buying branded goods, preferably in sports fashion.
• Highly numerate with the ability to conduct data analysis and budget forecasting.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and take full accountability for commercial decisions.
