Buyer – Global Procurement Central Services (French)

About the role

Amazon is expanding rapidly and is looking for a French‑fluent Buyer to join the Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) team in Barcelona. The role focuses on sourcing and managing non‑inventory goods and services for Fulfilment Centres, Amazon Transport Services and Quick Commerce networks, ensuring a reliable supply of packaging, safety equipment, and maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute non‑inventory material orders for assigned sites based on demand forecasts.
• Create purchase orders, schedule truck deliveries, and communicate delivery windows with suppliers.
• Coordinate with FC Stores teams to relay accurate delivery schedules and resolve on‑time delivery issues.
• Act as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders to guarantee timely off‑loading of goods.
• Process SIM tickets, manage invoice queries, and maintain supplier master data.
• Collaborate with Operations and Stores to develop strategies that mitigate space constraints.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and change initiatives to enhance supply‑chain efficiency.
• Deliver procurement metrics such as cost savings, zero stock‑out, Days of Cover (DOC), and project objectives.

Required profile

• Fluent in French (both written and spoken).
• Experience in procurement, supply‑chain, or related logistics functions.
• Strong ability to manage purchase‑order processes, delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills for daily interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proactive attitude to flag delivery issues and drive corrective actions.
