Civil Site Manager – High‑Voltage Substations (Netherlands)

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Civil Site Manager to lead civil construction activities for high‑voltage substation projects in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting and executing civil works for both substation extensions and new‑build projects for key clients such as TenneT and Enexis.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse civil scopes during tender and execution phases.
• Prepare and validate civil planning schedules, identify critical paths and construction risks.
• Support the preparation of budgets, cost estimations and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise civil works on‑site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Manage main civil contractors and develop direct relationships with local subcontractors.
• Lead site meetings, resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement and project management teams.
• Identify improvement opportunities in methodology, cost optimisation and scheduling efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience managing civil works for high‑voltage substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch civil construction market and relevant regulations.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with local subcontractors.
