Clinical Scientist - Cronos (Home-Based, Spain)

About the role

IQVIA's Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team designs scientifically rigorous research for life science and pharmaceutical clients, covering clinical trials, real-world evidence and patient-centred research. As a Consultant, ClinRO Services within the Cronos programme, you will work from home in Spain, administering assessments to clinical trial participants or evaluating the quality of assessments done by others and giving feedback on interview technique and scoring.

Key responsibilities

• Review scales administered by raters in a clinical trial to ensure assessments follow a standardised method and data remains reliable.
• Evaluate the quality of assessments, hold live interactions with raters on methodology and scoring, and give guidance where needed.
• Evaluate case data and prepare for discussions with raters, keeping relevant documents ready.
• Complete rater interactions and assigned tasks on schedule and submit all related documentation on time.
• Take part in orientation, training and calibration activities.
• Carry out functional assessments of rater performance (e.g. mock interviews) and help prepare and share communications.
• Contact clinical trial participants remotely (e.g. via a proprietary app) to administer assessments and record notes and scores.

Required profile

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing or Social Work, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience with schizophrenia and major depressive disorder populations.
• At least 3 years of experience administering psychiatric assessments such as the PANSS to these populations.
• Clinical trials experience preferred; CNS trial experience is a plus.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong interpersonal, organisation, attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.

• Microsoft Office, with solid Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of personnel and clients.
