About the role

Barcelo is looking for a motivated cook to join the kitchen team at the Occidental Mar Menor hotel in Murcia. You will work under the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to the hotel’s menu specifications and ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes based on the technical sheets of the established menu wheel.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and report to the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing activities.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration, and restocking of food items.
• Support receipt and storage of food supplies following established standards.
• Carry out tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Cooking and Gastronomy.
• Completed HACCP (APPCC) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement; hospitality knowledge is a plus.
• Team player with creativity, stress tolerance, problem‑solving ability, and meticulous work habits.
