Cocinero/a – Kitchen Supervisor

About the role

Barceló Group is looking for a motivated Cook (Cocinero/a) to lead a kitchen section in one of its hotels in Huelva. You will organise the preparation of raw materials, supervise recipe execution and ensure food safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of ingredients and allocate tasks for efficient workflow.
• Supervise and create recipes based on menu cycles and food‑handling best practices.
• Direct and oversee assistants and junior cooks during dish preparation.
• Monitor cleaning, storage and replenishment of food items in the section.
• Ensure hygienic‑sanitary records and controls are completed correctly.
• Assist with basic receiving, storage and internal stock replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in Kitchen Management, Hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar kitchen supervisory role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
• Good taste and olfactory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented attitude with problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) certification or training.
• Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, machinery and utensils.
