Compliance Due Diligence Researcher (French/English)

About the role

Join a dedicated compliance team to conduct in‑depth due‑diligence research on clients' counterparties. You will use open‑source (OSINT) and human intelligence (HUMINT) methods to uncover reputational, criminal, and ownership risks, delivering concise, high‑quality reports under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute due‑diligence assignments covering corporate compliance, ESG, financial crime, IPO, and KYC projects.
• Perform media, database, and primary‑document research using complex search criteria and a strict methodology.
• Liaise with in‑country source networks to obtain information not available via public sources.
• Analyse findings in the context of the project and country, identify indirect connections, and rate risk using standard or tailored methodologies.
• Summarise research outcomes in clear reports and, when required, brief internal colleagues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to deliver joint projects.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education with demonstrated professional experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and French (native or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of research techniques, online registers, archives, and the business‑political‑social context of specific regions.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to summarise large volumes of information clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
