Construction Estimator - Real Estate

About the role

Turner & Townsend's Real Estate team is looking for a Construction Estimator to prepare cost estimates for construction and real estate projects. The role works closely with Project Management, Cost Management and technical teams to build accurate estimates during design, tender and pre-construction phases, covering offices, retail and residential projects. It suits an experienced construction professional wanting to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and cost plans across project stages
• Analyse drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Support tendering with pre-tender estimates, commercial evaluations and bid comparisons
• Review contractor and supplier quotations
• Assist in benchmarking and market cost analysis
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation
• Maintain estimating databases, pricing information and historical cost data
• Identify project risks, assumptions and exclusions in estimates
• Collaborate with project, cost and technical teams and prepare estimating reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in construction projects, ideally with on-site experience
• Previous estimating experience in the real estate sector
• Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English

Required skills

• Strong understanding of construction methods, costs and market pricing
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Strong communication and organisational skills
